Pine Hollow and the Heat wave

It's been hot in PDX for sure. We went to pine Hollow for a few days this month and thought I would share some photo's. Stayed at the Wilsons home on the lake and had a great time.

Haven't been much farther than Sandy Beach Dock since the summer started. It's a great dock and we have made many new friends there.

Rachael is at camp this week and Jack is in football day camp. We have been enjoying swimming in the river in the evenings on Trader Vic.

Looking into Spring

I am looking forward to Spring Snow Skiing and Water Skiing...well maybe not so much the water but were getting the boat ready anyway.

Rachael is excited about getting her boater education card this summer so she can ditch the mom and dad show with her own boat. Still working on that.

Couple pictures to share from Lake Chelan last summer.

Spring Closing in fast

Wow,

How about this weather....Rain, followed by small amounts of teaser sun, followed by more rain.

Trader Vic sits in her boathouse partially decorated with Christmas Ship Decorations. Minor repairs are needed before the spring and summer cruising season. The freshwater pump finally went out. Of course it happened when I least expected it.

Spring break is almost upon us. We are headed to the mountains again this year. Skiing and snowmobiling, and hanging with friends will be on the agenda. Relaxing will be on my agenda, then when we get back, the boating season will be well underway...assuming the rain stops.

Fall is here and the summer was too short

Wow, that was fast! It stopped raining on July 7th as it always does and was great until November. The summer went by fast. With the price of fuel what it was we didn't do as many trips on Trader Vic as I would have liked. We traveled by car to Lake Chelan for a few day and that was an adventure. Will post more later.

20 Years of Christmas Shipping

Christmas Shipping with "Trader Vic" a Twenty year tradition
Tossing out some of our decorated boat pictures,
My thanks to Lynette for her wonderful pictures, Woody and Sharon for the wonderful food, Duane Hanson of "Huggy Bears Cupboards" for making my wonderful palm tree cutouts, and Lori for putting up with guests 12 nights of Christmas!
http://christmasshipsinc.orgTommy'O and Mark Mathias from the wonderful Beaches!
This is what makes Christmas fun!

Welcome to 2008 (late)

Post Christmas and New Years. Hope all has been happy with all of you.
We had a wonderful Holiday Season with lots of Snow and Ice.

The only bad part about the Holidays is that shortly afterward we lost Lori's father Sandy to a sudden passing. He was 88 and had a great life, and just went to bed and never woke up. He just tired out after all those years.

After all of our 18 years of bantering back and fourth.....He got the last word in agian. I will miss him terribly as will Rachael and Jack. They very much loved their Grandpa.

We spent spring break in the mountains riding our snowmobiles and teaching the kids how to ski.
We are getting ready to shine up "Trader Vic" for the 2008 season and begin our adventures aboard.
Opening Day is May 3rd this year. Mark Eves and I will be singing at two ceremonies again this year. The CRYA (Columbia River Yachting Association) and the CRYC (Columbia River Yacht Club)
Our careers still get in the way of our fun time, but I guess everyones does.
My 30th reunion is this year and I am looking forward to seeing old friends.

Life is good. All my best to all of you,
Aloha,
